If you are planning to mail a check, please mail the check to our Austin, Texas office. Our Austin, Texas office is located at 512 E. 11th Street, Suite 110, Austin, TX 78701.
Texas Criminal Fees
As consideration for our acceptance of your case, you have agreed to pay the Law Offices of Jason Trumpler, P.C. a nonrefundable flat-fee retainer to secure the availability the Law Offices of Jason Trumpler, P.C. and compensate it for lost opportunities. Again, this flat-fee is non-refundable. If you are on a payment plan, you are required to make a down payment and monthly payments on time. If you fail to make timely payments, we reserve the right to file a motion to withdraw as your attorney of record.
You can make your payments in one of three ways:
1. Call our offices at 866-722-8400 and make a credit card payment over the phone; or
2. Go to www.trumplerlaw.com, select the Austin, TX / Dallas – Fort Worth location, scroll down and select "Make Payment" on the left-hand side of the screen.
3. You can also come by our office located at 512 East 11th Street, Suite 110, Austin, TX 78701 (Please call first to make sure someone will be here.)
If you would like to pay in full up front, we will reduce your fee.
It is expressly agreed and understood that the above fee does not include, unless otherwise stated in writing:
a. Preparing the case or trying the case before a jury or a judge;
b. Any motions to suppress;
c. A retrial of the case if, for any reason, the case must be retried;
d. Any appeal which may be taken to a Court of Appeals or to the Court of Criminal Appeals, nor does it include a petition for discretionary review to the Court of Criminal Appeals or any other form of appellate review, whether in state or federal court;
e. Any expenses necessary to prepare and investigate the case and does not include any of the expenses of preparing the record for appeal; Moreover, it is expressly agreed and understood that NO PROMISES OR GUARANTEES as to the outcome of the case have been made to the Client by The Law Offices of Jason Trumpler, P.C.
In the event, the Law Offices of Jason Trumpler, P.C is required to bill out per hour, our attorneys bill out at a rate of $350 per hour.
Texas Family Law Fees
Due to the complexity of Family Law Cases, we no longer do any Family Law Case on a flat-fee basis.
As consideration for our acceptance of your case, you have agreed to pay the Law Offices of Jason Trumpler, P.C. a nonrefundable initial retainer to secure the availability the Law Offices of Jason Trumpler, P.C. and compensate it for lost opportunities. Again, this initial retainer is non-refundable.
Our legal fees for representation in family law matters, unless negotiated otherwise, are as follows:
Attorney Jason Trumpler $250 per hour;
Attorney Melissa de la Garza $200 per hour;
All Other Attorneys with the Law Offices of Jason Trumpler $175 per hour;
Office assistants unless otherwise specified $75 per hour.
These hourly rates may change during our representation. If such changes are necessary, you will be notified in writing 30 days before the change. All services, including telephone calls, are billed in 6-minute increments regardless of the actual time spent. Travel time and mileage will be billed based on the location of the office closest to the courthouse where the Client's case is pending.
You will be charged all incidental costs and expenses incurred by the firm in the prosecution of your case, including but not limited to the following: court costs; deposition expense; travel expenses; long-distance telephone calls; postage; retaining the services of other professionals, experts, and private investigative firms; document reproduction at $0.25 per page; and telecopy transmissions at $0.25 per page.
Once a month you will receive a statement from the firm for the fee charged for that billing period, together with all costs and expenses that have been incurred in your case. To provide a fund for the payment of such fees, costs, and expenses, the firm requires an advanced fee in the amount negotiated in the contract. The advanced fee will be placed in our trust account and drawn against from time to time to cover the unpaid fees, costs, and expenses. After the advanced fee has been consumed, an additional advanced fee may be required. Unless there is a sufficient advanced fee on deposit, you will be expected to make a payment each month, upon receipt of your statement, that is sufficient to liquidate any unpaid fees, costs, and expenses. When our representation is completed, any unused portion of the advanced fee will be refunded to you.
